When I was living in L.A. between 2006-1009, my entire beat making process had changed. I was driven by the lure of commercial success and it shows in these collections of beats made during that time period.

However, there was some good in this. I think of all my projects since 1999, this one has the best overall sound quality. At that time I had collected some great equipment, and had a dope environment to record in. I was intensely driven, more focused on technicalities in mixes than artistic exploration.

All in all, I dig this collection. I think it has aged well and still sounds relevant. To me these are old, but to you they are new. I hope you enjoy them, and thank you for taking the time to read this rant.
